visit to Nashville

After we got home from the beach we headed straight to Nashville to see some of our best friends from college.

There is something comforting being with friends who truly know you, who have lived with you therefore have seen the good and bad and still love you.

Bobby ,m , and Chris surrounding "big Red" I'm not sure if that's his name but it is what Finn calls the scooter. Emily bought it for Chris to scoot around town and to drive to work which is a mile or 2 away.

We cooked out one night and took turns riding big red around the yard. Finn loved every minute.

Charlie wanted to have nothing to do with big red. Every time Bobby would try to get Charlie to ride he would run away and say" NO Daddy I Scared I Scared"

Shands was eagerly awaiting his turn.

M had to take a picture of Emily cooking in her helmet, it reminded us of Key West. When we were in Key West our transportation was scooters and we opted to rent helmets, I think we were the only ones who wore them so it attracted a little attention.

Whenever these 3 get together people get thrown across the room. It's almost like when Dad (aka Bobby) gets home the kids (aka Michael and Chris) want to wrestle. The girls have gotten so use to it we will just sit there having a glass of wine, caring on a conversation and not blink when one of them flies past you.

Finn, Shands, and Charlie had to make sure the big kids weren't having all the fun.

Charlie and his new baby sister Ellie

The next day we made a burrito sandwich and he got his turn on big red.... He was Very happy.

* On this trip we also headed to Decatur to help celebrate Michael's paternal Grandmother's 90th!! I can't believe I didn't have my camera at the party! Marie is the most active 90yr old around. She still plays golf ... and wins!! line dances, bakes, and remembers EVERYONE'S birthday. Now that is impressive.
